The Royal Arts of Sanganeri Block Prints

Sanganeri block prints have a story that stretches back over 500 years, from the quiet town of Sanganer in Rajasthan. These hand-printed textiles are famous for their fine floral patterns and intricate details and were once crafted for kings and queens, adorning royal courts with their elegance. 

Fast forward to the 1960s and ’70s, and they were suddenly everywhere from Indian markets to global stages with artists like The Beatles. What began as a royal tradition became a symbol of artistic freedom and cultural fusion. Today, we celebrate Sanganeri prints not just for their history, but for the soul and craftsmanship that live on in every piece.
