These pieces began as quilts pieced from worn saris across Bengal, held together by rows of running stitch called kantha. Five decades later, the cloth is soft with use, the colours eased by time, the mends and tiny darns telling you where hands once lingered.
We’ve reimagined these vintage textiles into throws and refreshed them with block prints. No two are alike. What you take home is a singular story that continues in your space.
Choosing Echoes is also a gentle kind of stewardship: honouring the work of unknown makers, extending the life of cloth, and letting history stay useful, beautiful, and close at hand.

Materials & making
- Authentic vintage kantha fabric (50+ years old), predominantly cotton with hand running stitches
- Carefully cleaned and finished; edges secured and seams reinforced where the original cloth asks for it
- Expect one‑of‑a‑kind variations in colour, patchwork, stitch density, and small heritage repairs—these are the point, not a flaw
Care
- Treat kindly; vintage cloth prefers a gentle dry clean or a cool hand wash with mild soap
- Dry flat in shade; avoid bleach and long hours of direct sun
